Ten Inuit Post-secondary Students Benefit from Scholarships
One of Nasittuq’s objectives is to promote education and training opportunities to Inuit beneficiaries. The Inuit Student Scholarship Program was designed to encourage students to pursue and explore advanced education in fields such as computer science, electronics, environmental studies, business, or Indigenous studies.
We are pleased to announce that we have awarded ten scholarships to exceptional students from across the North. Each student receives $2500 towards their studies. We have students on their way to becoming teachers, a paralegal, aviation professional, and even a neuroscientist!
In order to qualify for an award students must be a beneficiary of the Nunatsiavut, Nunavut or Inuvialuit settlement regions, or Nunavik region, and provide documentation of enrollment in full-time studies with an accredited institution along with their application.
